Guru hanging milestone in freedom movement: Geelani

Syed Ali Geelani, the chief of All Parties Hurriyat Conference  Meeting, Weekend said the secret hanging of Mohammad Afzal Guru last year on this day has become ‘a landmark for the freedom movement’.


Paying tributes to Guru, the octogenarian innovator said: by hanging him not only Native indian democracy and secularism appears revealed but it has shown a landmark for the independence activity of Kashmir.

He said: Afzal’s hanging marketed the emotions of Islam and independence among the individuals of Kashmir. “Azfal has become an perfect for the Kashmiri youngsters.”

Geelani said it was ‘worst kind of condition terrorism to turn the whole condition into a prison’ and the crackdown against independence fans has shown that it is only a large number of martyrs like Afzal who symbolizes the actual emotions of Kashmir individuals, and pro-India individuals like primary reverend Omar Abdullah.

“We will keep requirement the come back of systems of our martyrs in Tihar prison and ask worldwide group and globe individual privileges systems to pressurize Native indian,” the 84-year-old innovator said.

On this day, Guru, a former Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front militant, was secretly hanged in New Delhi’s Tihar prison. He remains buried in the fortified prison
