Develop new destinations: Kashmir trip providers to state

There is more to Kashmir than well-known locations like Gulmarg and Pahalgam, said a Srinagar-based travel agency Weekend, accusing the indifferent strategy of the region's travel and leisure division for not creating lesser-known visitors areas like Kokernag and Verinag.
"The condition journey and leisure division is not promoting new holiday locations. Whatever cash they get from the center, they spend money on beautification of well-known locations like Gulmarg and Pahalgam. I am tired of taking visitors to these locations, understanding Kashmir has many great finds around," Asif, a Srinagar-based tour-operator informed reports.

"New locations need infrastructural growth like developing streets, resorts and bathrooms around roadways. But all the cash is going into their pouches and no one is viewing," he included.

Asif was one amongst many trip providers who were in the investment to join at the three-day OTM journey display in Noida, where condition and worldwide trip organizations came under one ceiling to system. 


There were around 250 participants from 17 nations and 20 Native indian declares at the reasonable, which finishes Weekend.

The providers pressured on the need to create the area for visitors to see the "Switzerland of India".

"Places like Achabal, Kokernag, Verinag and Gurez will make you ignore everything. Tourists need on going to frequent locations because these are what have been marketed always. One would get missing in attractiveness of Kashmir," said Asif.

"It is time to create these locations to see modify in Kashmir, produce journey and leisure and career and provide better life to the indegent who are struggling the most," he included.
